Chris is a Scientist working in AstraZeneca's Cell Culture and Fermentation Science team based at Granta Park in Cambridge. His main role is leading the upstream process development of CMC projects primarily for molecules with novel or unusual formats. He also collaborates on a range of key technology development areas with a focus on process analytical technology and automation while managing a small team of scientists. Chriss past roles include Tap Biosystems where he worked as a process and applications specialist for the ambr technology platform, this role involved worldwide travel the training of customers and the troubleshooting of challenging processes. He also previously worked for Royal Dutch shell where he was part of the biofuels process development group with a focus on the generation of novel fuel molecules from Algae and Yeast. Chris holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Manchester.
