Dr. Kati Räsänen is a cancer research scientist with 15+ years of experience working in academia, research institutes, biotech and pharma in Finland, United Kingdom and United States. In 2013 she joined Biosceptre International (Cambridge, UK) where she helped to establish cell biology laboratories and methods for the in-house MoA studies for the preclinical antibody candidates and acted as a project manager for the outsourced studies. In 2016 she joined Orion Pharma (Turku, Finland) first at the In Vitro Biology department and moving in 2018 to the new Biologics department as Orion expanded from small to large molecules. At Biologics she was part of the team setting up the laboratories and methods for this new function. Her current role is to coordinate Orion’s biologics projects in the field of oncology and in that capacity to liaise internally with Oncology therapy area and other functions, and externally with partners and CROs.
