Carla Newman currently work in the ex-vivo Bioimaging group as an investigator, my area of expertise is Biological Mass Spectrometry. Newman has been working in the pharmaceutical industry for 13 years and since finished her degree. Carla started at Pfizer in Sandwich and was there for just over 5 years working mainly as an analytical chemist/ proteomics scientist. Newman then moved to Novartis in Basel for 9 months, where she worked as a Mass Spectrometry scientist performing protein characterization. Carla then returned to the UK when she was offered my current position at GSK, and has been there for just under 7 years. Earlier in the year, Newman has now finished her GSK sponsored part-time PhD with the University of Nottingham and the National Physical Laboratory, the subject of my PhD is to probe the distribution of pharmaceutical compounds in cells using ToF-SIMS.
