Anne Ashford

Senior Scientist Genetic Toxicology, R&D, Clinical Pharmacology & Safety Sciences
Anne Ashford is a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca in the Genetic Toxicology group based in Cambridge, UK. She is responsible for performing established in vitro genetic toxicology assays as well as incorporating NGS techniques into genotoxicology experiments. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Anne obtained an undergraduate Master’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford and then began her career at Novartis Pharmaceuticals working in the field of cell signalling within the Respiratory Disease department. She then undertook a PhD in Molecular Biology at the University of Cambridge followed by a Post-Doc position at The Babraham Institute, Cambridge, UK. Her PhD and Post-doc involved research in cell signalling, cancer drug target validation and NGS.
