Obtained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with minors in Robotics and Biomechanical engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. After School I began working with HighRes Biosolutions supporting integrated robotics systems in labs and research centers all over the world. Through that position I was introduced to robotics systems of all scales and models with different levels of data integration and LIMS compatibility. At Beam Therapeutics I have been helping maintain our already integrated robotics system, develop methods and protocols for scientists, and coordinate/implement the expansion of our lab automation platform. While working with dozens of integrated automation systems over the course of my career, I have assembled great knowledge of the best and worst practices when it comes to integrating systems, as well as a great overview of converting an entirely manual workload onto an automation platform.
