Cellenion has developed cellenONE®, a revolutionary platform for automated single cell isolation and dispensing. Gentle piezo-acoustic technology, combined with an optical setup for automated image based selection, cellenONE allows high throughput manipulation of single cell while providing outstanding precision unlike any other dispensing and microfluidic platforms. These features make it an ideal platform for both cloning applications and sample preparation prior to single cell analyses.
By precisely dispensing single cells and reagents in picoliter droplets, cellenONE® is compatible with a range of substrates from microplates (384, 1536wp) to microwells substrates. The later allow drastic reduction in reaction volumes and subsequently costs per single-cell analysis.
Additionally, ability to work with minute volume and cell numbers makes cellenONE a unique platform for single cell isolation from small biopsies or other rare cell samples. Indeed, recent collaborative work with leading researchers has demonstrated unseen cell recovery (> 95%) from minute patient samples (< 5µL) containing fewer than 100 cells. This platform is now allowing researchers and clinicians alike new insights in samples that were previously not analysable using other single cell analytical techniques.
Recently, Fluorescent Image Based Single Cell Isolation technology (FIBSCITM ) was launched. It now allows the use of fluorescent markers to select only single cell of interest. Initial investigations have demonstrated its benefit for excluding dead cells and also enrichment of cancer cells of interest from mixed cell population for both cloning and single cell sequencing applications.
