Wilfred received his PhD in Molecular Sciences from the Wageningen University in 2001. In 2002 he joined as a postdoc the group of prof. Grosveld at the Erasmus MC in Rotterdam. Here, he initiated and started a Genomics Core facility. In 2008 he was appointed as assistant professor and implemented a wide range of genomics technologies including arrays and NGS. He is cofounder of a startup in methylation sequencing. Teaming up with national and international research group has yielded over 200 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
