Postdoctoral Research Scientist
AstraZeneca
Dr. Tereza Vaclova is a molecular biologist and geneticist with a specific interest in cancer genomics. Tereza uses next-generation sequencing and liquid biopsy approaches to study clonal evolution and she is particularly interested in elucidating the translational implications of inter-/intra-tumour heterogeneity. Tereza gained her PhD at the Spanish National Cancer Research Center (CNIO; Spain, Madrid) where she studied the effects of BRCA1 mutation types on the response to PARP inhibitors in breast cancer patients. In addition, she also gained valuable experience in the breast cancer genomics field during her internship at the Moffitt Cancer Center (USA, Florida, Tampa) and her academic postdoc at the Institute of Cancer Research (UK, London).
