Dr. Simona Bernardi holds a Master of Science in Medical Biotechnologies from the University of Brescia (Italy). She obtained her PhD in Molecular Genetics applied to Medical Sciences at the Department of Molecular and Translational Medicine, University of Brescia (Italy). She attended the “L. & A. Seragnoli” by Alma Mater Studiorum University in Bologna (Italy) and the Personal Genomics Lab in Verona (Italy) where she specialized in the application of NGS for gene target and whole exome sequencing. After a post-doctoral research period of 2 years, she became a Research Fellow by University of Brescia. Her research interests encompass the genomic characterization of the hematologic malignancies, the identification and monitoring of leukemic markers and the assessment of liquid biopsy approaches both for solid and hematologic tumors.
