Hyewon Phee

Dr. Hyewon Phee started her career in academia as a T cell immunologist, then made a career transition to pharmaceutical Industry, joining Amgen in 2015. Prior to joining Amgen, Dr. Phee was leading a research laboratory in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Northwestern University as a tenure-track Assistant professor and continued her research in immune tolerance and regulatory T cell biology. Dr. Phee was trained in the laboratory of Dr. Art Weiss at UCSF as a postdoctoral fellow and continued her research in the field of T cell signal transduction as an adjunct assistant professor at UCSF prior to her position at Northwestern University. In 2015, Dr. Phee joined Amgen to pursue a target discovery research in Inflammation and Oncology. At Amgen, Dr. Phee has worked on various projects, including cancer vaccine in immune-oncology and immune profiling of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
