Amy Trebes

Senior Process Improvement Officer at High-Throughput Genomics, WCHG
Beckman Coulter / Labcyte
Stemming from her love of science and all things CSI, Amy graduated from the University of Lincoln with a BSc in Forensic Science in 2008. Having realised that she preferred the lab environment, she went on to graduate from the University of Leeds with an MSc in Biological Science. In 2009, Amy joined the Oxford Genomics Centre, focusing on a variety of RNA library prep approaches for Illumina sequencing. As the team expanded, her focus evolved into providing technical support to colleagues and working directly with researchers on method development projects, including targeted and metagenomics viral RNA and DNA sequencing. As a Senior Process Improvement Officer, Amy strives to enhance OGC’s services, with a strong focus on lab automation, streamlining workflows and evaluating new technologies.
