Dr Christos Kannas, Associate Principal Scientist, R&D AstraZeneca, Gothenburg, Sweden

Dr Christos Kannas is an Associate Principal Scientist at Molecular AI, AstraZeneca, where he works on several projects related to Reaction & Synthesis Prediction, HTS Frequent Hitters, and Hybrid Fingerprints. Dr Kannas develops software solutions that assist researchers working on drug discovery. Before joining AstraZeneca he worked on compound standardisation workflows, multi- and many-objective molecular design algorithms, and virtual screening tools for a web-based virtual screening workflow platform. He holds a PhD, MSc, and BSc in Computer Science. He likes playing computer games, reading books and, since moving to Sweden, hiking with family and friends.

 

Dr Maya Natarajn, Neo4j, Senior Director, Knowledge Graphs

Dr Maya Natarajan is Senior Director of Knowledge Graphs at Neo4j. She is passionate about bringing different technologies together to solve complex problems. At Neo4j, Dr Natarajn is championing the use of knowledge graphs to bring context to various systems and has positioned technologies from blockchain to predictive, user-based analytics to machine learning, deep learning to search, and BPM and beyond in a myriad of industries at various small and large companies. She started her career in biotechnology where she was in R&D, focusing on cardiovascular drugs, and she has five patents to her name.
