Following B.S and M.S in mathematics and chemistry, respectively, Morten obtained a Ph.D. from University of Copenhagen in Protein NMR Spectroscopy working on method development, structure and dynamics determination of a Kunitz-type protein. During the Ph.D., Morten spent time at the Depart. of Pharmaceutical Chemisty, Univ. of California San Francisco.
Following his Ph.D. Morten was a postdoc in the Danish NMR Center at the Carlsberg Research Center before moving to LEO Pharma in 1998 as a computational chemist. Morten has worked on numerous projects targeting e.g. kinases, GPCRS, metalloproteinases and nuclear hormone receptors. Morten is currently Senior Manager of MedChem I, one of two medicinal chemistry departments responsible for design and synthesis of small molecules aimed at oral treatments of skin diseases.
