Cell & Gene Therapy and Stem Cells Q & As 2015
Ahead of the Cell & Gene Therapy Congress and 2nd Annual Stem Cell Congress 2015, we spoke to Francesco Saverio Tedesco, Principal Research Associate at University College London on the subject of stem cell differentiation and commercial development.
Francesco Saverio Tedesco
Dr Tedesco obtained his PhD at San Rafaelle Scientific Institute in 2010, where he also published research in the field of human artificial chromosomes. After his PhD he coupled post-doctoral research in muscle regeneration with clinical practice and training between San Raffaele Hospital and UCL and UCL Hospitals. Dr. Tedesco also became a co-investigator in a first-in-human clinical trial based upon transplantation of donor muscle stem cells for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
He joined UCL’s Department of Cell and Developmental Biology in 2012 as a Senior Research Associate, and in 2013 he was appointed Principal Research Associate and established an independent research group.
