A dynamic stem cell biochemist with expertise in advanced microscopy techniques and interested in the development of novel therapeutic approaches for treatment of human disease. Substantial bench work and supervisory expertise in highly competitive environments with experience in IP development. Currently leading a laboratory at the Centre for Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine at Kings College London. Shukry holds the prestigious young investigator fellowship, the Sir Henry Dale Fellowship (Wellcome Trust and Royal Society); where his application came first national wide. He is also a member of the UK regenerative Medicine platform (grant: Developing a translational niche for tissue engineered products). Involved in communication with the press and public engagement including The Next Big Thing sponsored by the Royal society and the Lates- Science Museum and Pint of science. He is also a member of the judging panel of 2019 Book prize (Royal Society) and an associate editor to the Journal of Immunology and Regenerative Medicine.
