Ricardo P. Baptista is Cellectis Director of Process and Analytical Development. Previous to Cellectis, he held the role of Lead Scientist at The Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult, London, UK. Ricardo led Catapults programmes developing process and analytical platforms for large-scale manufacturing of allogeneic cell therapy products, namely derived from Pluripotent Stem Cells. His expertise includes scaling upstream and downstream bioprocesses for recombinant proteins and cell therapy products (e.g. NK cells, HEK/CHO/Jurkat, hESC/hiPSC, HSCs, and others). Ricardo Baptista is a Biological Engineer and obtained his PhD degree in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering. His academic path includes research in Peter Zandstras Stem Cell Bioengineering Lab in Toronto.
