Philippe Hnon is the Founder, President and CSO of CellProthera, Bio-tech launched in June 2009. At the beginning of his career, in 1985, he was a pioneer in the field of peripheral blood stem cells (PBSC) characterization, evaluation and clinical use in blood diseases. For the past 15 years, he more specially focused on use of PB-CD34+ stem cells for cardiac repair after myocardial infarct, launching a Pilot Study end of 2002. His experience includes being Assistant Professor of Hematology / Assistant Director of the Department of Hematology, Paris VII University and Hpital Lariboisire (1970 - 1978). Subsequently he was the Founder and Head of Department of Hematology in Mulhouse Hospitals between 1979 2005, later becoming Founder in 1987 and Director up to 2017 of IRHT Mulhouse. More recently, he has held positions as Professor and Director of the Educational Program on Hematopoiesis and Cell Therapy at University of Haute-Alsace, Mulhouse (2000 2010) and Visiting Professor of Cell Therapy at University of Lincoln, UK (2003 2007) and at New York Medical College, USA (2006 2010)
