Cross-Department Training

Flexibility & Inter-Department Skills

All new members of staff receive a full induction when they join the company. A business being its own eco-system, we believe in cross-department training for every employee to see the impact of everyone’s efforts more clearly and understand the entire business system. Each member of staff is given a training schedule and has departmental overviews with staff in each team.

Time to Talk Day

At Oxford Global, we know that it benefits all of us to talk about mental health and we encourage everyone to do so. Time to Talk Day is run by Time to Change to help spread the word that there are lots of different ways to have a conversation about mental health. And you don’t have to be an expert to talk. All staff are encouraged to stop by and have a chat about mental health at our Time to Talk Days which occur throughout the year.

Time to Change is England’s biggest programme to challenge mental health stigma and discrimination and is run by the charities Mind and Rethink Mental Illness.

Innovation Box

Oxford Global has introduced an Innovation Box, which allows staff to submit ideas and suggestions on anything related to the company.

We developed the Innovation Box to engage, encourage and sustain everyone’s innovation input, and attract well thought-out ideas to nurture innovative thinking. Beyond ideas and innovation, the Box is used to reward each employee’s thinking and to allow everyone to have a voice in the company.

Yearly Appraisals

We conduct yearly appraisals to facilitate and improve communication in order to discuss job performance and ensure relevant and adequate training. We aim at setting the right goals and objectives for each employee and help them build a strong career path. These appraisals help us determine performance and set up action plans for the following year and support strategically support each employee to achieve these objectives.

Student Placements

We offer a variety of placement opportunities to students looking for work experience as part of their degree, or just to help their own personal development. Whether this is a summer internship or a year long placement, each of our departments offer comprehensive training opportunities to help undergraduates learn more about their field of choice or just to gain general work experience.
