Dr. Victor Terrier joined Aelin Therapeutics (Leuven, Belgium) as a scientist in the peptide chemistry team in May 2018. The team supports Aelin Tx’s drug discovery pipeline with the design, synthesis, purification as well as the chemical and biophysical characterization of pept-insTM. Victor completed a MSc in organic chemistry at the Claude Bernard University Lyon 1 (Lyon, France) in 2012). He received his Ph.D. in 2016 with the highest honors from the University of Orléans (Orléans, France) under the supervision of Dr. Agnès Delmas and Dr. Vincent Aucagne at the Center for Molecular Biophysics (CBM, CNRS) where he developed an original strategy for the native chemical ligation and its application to the synthesis of naturally-occurring peptides. In November 2016, Dr. Terrier joined Pr. Steven Ballet’s group at the Free University of Brussels (VUB, Brussels, Belgium) for a PostDoc with the Belgian pharma biotech Galapagos, investigating medicinal chemistry of short peptides for the inhibition of PPIs with therapeutic applications.
